Helping couples facing and dealing with difficulties encountered in marriage is important in family services. To assist newlywed couples in entering marriage and adapting to different stages of married life, the Marriage +: From Me to We" ebook was launched by Caritas Family Service in September.
The Jockey Club Smart Family-link Project, which is initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, collaborated with the Baptist University of Hong Kong to assess the effectiveness of “Marriage +” as a digital intervention in influencing marital relationships.
The study revealed that this four-section self-help guide significantly enhances satisfaction among couples, providing them with time-efficient and low-intensity digital tools to navigate the challenges. While males exhibited heightened awareness of their wives' active contributions in sharing responsibilities, the study found a notable increase in female’s employment of emotional regulation strategies.
