“Prevention of Domestic Violence : Volunteer Training Manual” by Harmony House
Abstract:
Domestic violence is a complex social problem. With the economic downturn and high unemployment rate in Hong Kong, the number of spousal abuse cases has been on the rise this year, coupled with the occurrence of a number of high-profile family tragedies, which has not only jeopardized the personal safety of the parties involved, but has also rung the alarm bells of the community's mass safety and security. Harmony House will accumulate years of experience in training volunteers and publish it into a teaching kit, with the hope of providing a comprehensive training manual for volunteers to the industry and related parties, and at the same time promoting the community to work together to stop domestic violence and build a community of equality, respect and harmony.
