（Booklet）LGBTQ intimate partner violence
Abstract︰
Since the Social Welfare Department began providing counseling services to families experiencing intimate partner violence many years ago, most colleagues may have received considerable relevant training or have dealt with related cases. After the amendment of the "Domestic and Cohabitation Relationships Violence Ordinance" on January 1, 2010, same-sex cohabitants and former same-sex cohabitants have also been included in the scope of protection.
Compared to intimate partner violence in heterosexual relationships, colleagues may have less experience in handling cases of intimate partner violence among the LGBTQ community. Therefore, through the compilation of this book, the Clinical Psychological Services Branch hopes to enhance colleagues' understanding of the emotional relationships within the LGBTQ community, the characteristics of intimate partner violence, and the considerations needed when handling such cases.
