Abstract︰

The research team led by Assistant Professor Connie Chong from the The Nethersole School of Nursing at the Chinese University of Hong Kong has developed the first Cantonese-based mobile application called "Pai.ACT" to assist parents of SEN children in reducing stress. The app combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), artificial intelligence (AI) technology, and big data to provide personalized psychological support services for SEN parents and caregivers. "Pai.ACT" offers a Cantonese interactive experience based on ACT counselling principles, a 6-week personalized self-learning course and exercises, as well as one-on-one psychological support services for those in need.
