In 2020, the Equal Opportunities Commission commissioned The Centre for Youth Research and Practice Hong Kong Baptist University to adopt a mixed-method approach, providing a combination of qualitative and quantitative data to understand the perspectives and experiences of different individuals regarding the transition of ethnic minority youth after secondary school. This research consists of three parts: (i) student surveys, (ii) individual and focus group interviews with ethnic minority youth and/or adults (including ethnic minority parents, teachers, and social workers), and (iii) telephone surveys and personal interviews with employers.
